Jessie Thornton, a 64-year-old man was arrested for DUI in Arizona. However, the breathalyzer showed a result of.000 blood alcohol content. This is only after the officer had Mr. Thornton perform the field sobriety tests, which should help the officer determine whether he was impaired. When the breathalyzer came back negative the police tested him for drugs. Those tests came back showing no signs of drug use. Hopefully this is alarming to you. It is to me. How can a police officer stop someone, test them for DUI, arrest them for DUI, but then find out they they are not actually impaired?\n\nPolice officers are trained to look for certain cues when investigating a person for DUI.
